Is it rude to ask the employees at a Car Parts store to replace the parts?

Okay, so I needed to buy new headlights for my car the other day, and for some reason my headlights are ridiculously confusing to replace- and, honestly even if they were easy i’m not sure I could do it myself, but I think the Audi people try to make everything confusing. Anyway, So, I bought a new Headlight at the Auto Parts Store, and then asked the guy if he could replace it for me. He seemed totally irritated that I asked, so, I told him never mind. Is that really rude of me to ask?

You know it’s not rude but there is a difference between asking to have a light on a Ford Tempo replaced and replacing one on an Audi. I can almost say that close to 97 percent or more Autoparts specialist have never replaced that on an Audi. therefore that is more than anything a liability question.
